Accommodation

We are fortunate to be the proud owners of our Award winning Chelsea House Bed & Breakfast. Our home has two spacious guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms, with architectural features of the Bay Villa era (1910-1920), each with high, ornate ceilings. Centrally located in Regent on the road into town (just 4mins by car) or a 20min walk in to the centre of Whangarei or a 30 min walk along the beautiful bush track through Mair park in the Parihaka Scenic Reserve, which is right opposite our house.

Check in is after 3pm and until 9pm. Check out is by 10am. Please advise your ETA as I plan my day around my guests arrival, which includes cleaning and preparing for guests, shopping etc.

If you arrive in Whangarei earlier than 3pm, you could make your way to the Town Marina Basin where you will find the latest tourist attractions of the Hundertwasser Art Centre, the Rolling Ball Clock, museums, cafes and a lovely walking trail alongside the river. The Quarry Gardens are another option to explore, beautiful subtropical gardens where you can stroll and enjoy the huge range of plants, and trees.

On your arrival I will sit down with you and offer options for dining and suggestions of things to do in Whangarei, over a cup of tea, coffee and baking.

We are a non-smoking property. We only host adults 18+ as we only have two king guest rooms, and single/twin options are not available unless booking a room each.
